About the Research and Skills Mapping Tool
Welcome to the Australian Government's Research and Skills Mapping Tool, a secure directory of Australia's leading researchers for industry collaborations.
Australia's research institutions deliver world class research, conducted by outstanding professionals. This knowledge and ideas can add substantially to the productivity of businesses. Through the Entrepreneurs' Infrastructure Programme (EIP), specialist Advisers and Facilitators work with business to improve productivity and capability. The Research and Skills Mapping Tool will assist the Business Advisers and Facilitators to connect the commercial sector to Australia's research capability.
The Research and Skills Mapping Tool
The Research and Skills Mapping Tool is funded by The Department of Industry and Science for searching key researchers, projects, and contacts at Australian research institutions (universities, CSIRO, research centres, etc). EIP Business Advisers and Facilitators work with industry and business to connect the commercial sector to Australia's research capability. Access to the Research Map will enable more effective identification of the relevant capability suited to a particular business and creation of productive connections with the right researchers.

This database will not be publicly accessible and will be used internally within the Department of Industry and Science and contracted parties. You will be advised before it is made available to other parties if this is determined to be beneficial at a future date and will have the option to remove your details. This work is building on an existing directory that was prepared in 2010 through contact with research institutions and is now being updated to include researchers from wider fields of research.
